Sophisticated Scorpio

Thurs 28 Oct – Wed 10 Nov

Although the Sun and Mercury have joined Venus in Scorpio, Mars has just entered fired up Sagittarius. Now the Scorpio influence on Mercury will facilitate a greater degree of introspection into the subtler aspects of the psyche, being a negative polarity water sign. The self-reflective side of the mind will want to go deeper, and may even be able to uncover underlying or hidden truths about itself; or will want to analyze and research, which is great for any of the approaching exam writers ; but how does that help me, you may ask . Well you may also use this time to attune to your intuitive inner voice. Besides that the unconscious has photographic recall of any and all events in your life, so the memory of all the why's and wherefores of what nurtured you to express your nature the way you do, is accessible. Sometimes that knowledge can be a bit frightening of course, but transformation is also a quality of the Scorpio archetype. The activities of the everyday world do not always permit us to spend time on our psychological health. The pressures of earning a living and raising a family take much of our time and focus. If you are one of the few without either of those obligations, then count yourself lucky to have the time for pursuing the breadth and depth of your mind - either by researching longer and harder for exams because you’re still at school, or secondly by going deeper into the science of self- realization because you have renounced or retired from the worldly activities of the rat race. A primary part of mental health is actualizing all ones' potentials, but then actualizing my potentials means knowing who I am on all levels, including the psychic, as referred to by Jung or Blavatsky, as well as the spiritual, as referred to by all the worlds religions, from Baptists to Vedantists. Mercury in Scorpio facilitates the discussion, investigation and analysis of core issues – like life, death and taxes; like those normally unseen hidden fundamental foundations of our reality and I don’t mean your floorboards. Rather, what is it that is secretly buried under the floorboards?

On another note, the traditional Scorpio sting may raise its tail and fork some tongues, so count to five before venting any sharp word that finds itself riding the adrenaline wave that turns to rebuke or rebuttal. Communication and thinking may be more emotionally driven than usual now. On a final note, the potential for ‘termination’ is attributed to Scorpio, so knowing the temporary nature of ones' existence from the start, allows the process of letting go to flow so much easier.
